The Man I'm Going to Be
A first collection of poetry and verse from Lyndon Jeremiah. Adventures are had exploring friendship and fatherhood, love and loss, vanity and vindication, with laughter and tears, all from a wonderfully Welsh perspective. This collection is clearly a loving "doffing of the cap" to his welsh upbringing, family and loved ones, written in an autobiographical order through childhood and beyond. Common, everyday subjects are approached from original angles whilst difficult and awkward topics are described in frank and hilarious ways. Storytelling is taken to unique new levels as you live the tales, as they unravel though rhythm and rhyme. The wonder and woes of childhood are explored continuing onto the excitement and anxieties of teenage life, all in a celebration of the author's shortcomings and self-deprecating, delightful style. The author opens portholes in time where you will recognise, not only the situations described, but a version of yourself in each and every, beautifully crafted poem.
